Welcome to Thomas County Central High School, home of the Yellow Jackets. At TCCHS, our athletics are second to none as students are challenged and prepared on the field, as well as the classroom.
Athletes in our school system learn the importance of discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and goal setting. We consider these attributes pillars to success in all areas of life.
Students who participate in athletics tend to have: higher grade point averages, better attendance, lower dropout rates, fewer disciplinary problems, higher graduation rates, better success in college.
Athletic participation at TCCHS also provides students with: healthy, supervised after-school activities, an alternative to anti-social behaviors, an opportunity to make new friends, a sense of belonging and school spirit.

Chris Calhoun scored 18 points and Ray Drew added 10 to lead Central past Alcovy 56-51 in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs.
