| Bill Shaver (Head
Coach) begins his third season as head coach
at TCCHS. Shaver received his M.Ed. from Georgia
Southwestern College and his B.S.Ed. from
Presbyterian College where he played four years of
football and was voted by his teammates as the
Unsung Hero in Senior Season. His coaching
experience includes two years at Georgia
Southwestern College, six years at Presbyterian
College, three years at Statesboro High School and
16 years at TCCHS. He and his wife, Robin, a teacher
at Hand-in-Hand Primary, have been married for 24
years. They have two children: a son, Kyle (22), who
is a student at Georgia Southern University, and a
daughter, Kaylee (14), a freshman at TCCHS. The
Shavers are active members of First Baptist Church
of Thomasville. |
| Bill Wilhelm (Asst.
Head Coach) attended Valdosta State College
from 1982-1986 where he played offensive line and
received his B.Ed. He began his coaching and
teaching career at Lowndes High School in January
1987. He came to TCCHS in 1989. He received his
M.S.Ed. in Special Education and Physical Education
from Valdosta State College in 1991. He has been
coaching the offensive line at TCCHS for 21 years.
He and his wife, Kristi, have been married 16 years.
They have three sons, Conley, Ben, and Kris. He is
currently serving as the assistant head coach for
the Yellow Jackets. |
Mike Singletary
(Athletic Coordinator), former Thomas County
Central quarterback and former Colquitt County High
head coach has come home as the Jacket’s inside
linebacker coach. Singletary has 27 years of
coaching experience with stints at Cairo, Colquitt
County, and Sonoraville. Mike was the defensive
coordinator for the Packers’ 15 and 0 state
championship season. He and his wife, Teresa, a
teacher at Thomas County Middle School, have three
children:
Reid, who is 23, and daughters, Carson and Meg, who
are 19 and 18. Singletary currently serves as
Athletic Coordinator. |
| Coleman Bennett
is in his year of teaching and coaching for
Thomas County Schools. Coleman coaches .

| Job Coleman has
been coaching for over thirty years. He is a
graduate of Albany State College. He is married to
Willie Coleman. They have two daughters, Danielle
and Dranita. |
| Joe Dollar
attended Bainbridge High School and graduated cum
laude from Valdosta State University with a B.S.
degree in secondary education and history. Before
coming to TCCHS he was an assistant coach in his
hometown for Bainbridge’s baseball team. This is his
6th year teaching and coaching at TCCHS. He and his
wife Beth have one son, Gambler (2). |
| Cliff Heard has
been coaching at Thomas County Central for seven
years. Coach Heard and his wife, Denise, are
teachers at Thomas County Middle School. The Heards
have two sons, Dustin and Caleb. |
| Dustin Heard is
in his first year of teaching and coaching for
Thomas County Schools. Dustin coaches the
defensive line and defensive ends. He is

| Sam Holland
enters his second season as offensive coordinator
and running backs coach. Holland spent 21 years in
Florida, eight of which as head coach. He was a head
coach in Alabama. Coach Holland and his wife,
Carrie, a teacher at Thomas County Middle School,
have three children: Thom, Kristen and Ashley. |
| Reginald Knight
is a graduate of Florida A&M University. He has over
30 years experience in coaching and teaching. He and
his wife, Debra, have three children: Frank, Ashley
and Adrian. |

in his year of teaching and coaching for Thomas

| Jared Mills
attended Calhoun High School before graduating from
Harding University with a bachelor’s degree in
Kinesiology. He coached at Cass Middle School before
coming to Thomas County. He has been married to his
wife, Keli, for almost five years. |
| Napier is in
his first year of teaching and coaching for Thomas
County Schools. Dustin coaches the wide
receivers and teaches math. He is graduate of |
| Chad Parkerson
attended Georgia Southwestern where he played
baseball for two years. He then transferred to
Valdosta State University where he continued to play
baseball for two more years winning the Gineger
(Hustle) and Battlecat (Unsung Hero) Awards, as well
as obtaining his degree in Physical Education. He
graduated from the University of Alabama with a
Master’s Degree in Heath Promotions. Parkerson began
his coaching career at Ware County. He coached wide
receivers for TCCHS for five years, but now coaches
running backs and quarterbacks at TCCHS. He is also
the TCCHS Head Baseball Coach. His wife, Laura, is
employed by Thomas County as an English teacher.
They have three daughters, Grace (6) and Paige (3)
and Katie Claire (1). |

| George Romans
has been coaching and teaching in Thomas County
since 2002. He was Teacher of the Year at Fort
Braden School in Tallahassee, Florida in 2001-02.
He is a graduate of Florida State University. He has
one son, Ryan, age 11. |
| Harry Skipper
attended the University of South Carolina from
1978-1983 on a football scholarship. He earned a
Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. After
college, he played 7 years of pro football in the
CFL: three years in Montreal and four years in
Saskatchewan. In 1989 he was a member of the CFL
Grey Cup Championship team. He began teaching and
coaching in 1992 at Bradwell Institute in
Hinesville, GA. From 1993 to 2004 he went home to
Appling County High School, where he coached
football, wrestling, and track. Coach Skipper is
here with his wife Coledia, daughter Monti, and sons
Colin and Tristan. |
| Matt Weaver
graduated from Valdosta State University. He is
beginning his third year teaching with Thomas County
Schools. |
| Todd Wilson is
an adapted special education teacher at TCCHS. He
received his B.S. degree from Valdosta State
University in 1994 and his M.S. Ed. degree from Troy
University in 2006. This is his fourth year of
coaching at TCCHS. He and his wife, Marnie, have
three children, Gavin, Blaine and Jace. |
